Brief Weather Update
Showers and thunderstorms have become more isolated to scattered today, but coverage is expected to increase Thursday and Friday as an upper‑level system moves into the region. Heavy rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches—with isolated amounts up to 4 to 6 inches—remain possible through late week across the Permian Basin, Trans Pecos, Davis Mountains, and Big Bend area. A Flash Flood Watch is now extended through early Friday evening and includes much of the Permian Basin.
Remember: just because it isn’t raining here doesn’t mean it’s not raining somewhere else, and that water has to come through here.
