Just as a reminder, this is what you can expect from the river as we get more rain.  Remember, just because it is not raining here, doesn’t mean it isn’t raining upriver.  Don’t get caught off guard.
Hot Springs – Water level at the edge of the springs is about 4.46 feet and 943 cfs. 
Anything above is flooding the springs, anything below should be fine.
Flood Waters Traveling Down Rio Grande . . .
Presidio
Rises 18 ft and flowing at 15,000 cfs
Castolon
hits 16 hours later and crests at about 12 ft and 9,000 cfs
Johnsons
hits 2.5 hours later and crests at about 11 ft and 5,000 cfs
RGV
hits 13 hours later and crests at about 9 ft and 6,000 cfs
Local heavy rains over Lajitas, Terlingua, Castolon, and the Chisos  . . . (2-4″ in two hours)
Blue Creek, Alamo Creek, Smokey Creek (no guages)

Waters rise >1′ per 1/4 hr to 11 feet and 33,000 cfs
Castolon
Waters rise simultaniously, 2′ per 1/4 hr and crests at 19 ft and 33,000 cfs
Johnsons
Waters rise simultaniously, 2′ per 1/4 hr and crests at 15 ft and 12,000 cfs
RGV
hits 13 hours later and crests at about 13 ft and 10,000 cfs
Flood Waters Traveling Down Terlingua Creek
Moving at 4-6 mph from Terlingua it takes 2-3 hours for water to hit Santa Elena Cyn Trail.
** Waters will hit Santa Elena Canyon before the IBWC website reports the flow.
