Route 16 (road to Santa Elena Canyon) at mile 0 is closed due to flooding, Old Maverick Rd is closed due to high rainfall and unsuitable conditions. Further assessments are underway and attempts to reopen the roads are being made.
Please do not attempt to cross low lying areas that are flooded as Big Bend National Park does not have the ability to rescue your vehicle. All park guest must be ready to self-rescue at any time.
